ARCHIVE HISTORY

Data Corpse is another chapter in My Good Eye's long-running collaboration with Revocation, pairing Dave Davidson's committed performance with Kelly Harris's practical cyborg makeup and the video's increasingly mechanical transformation.

My Good Eye archive note

PRODUCTION NOTE

The cyborg transformation was created by special makeup effects artist Kelly Harris, whose layered practical prosthetics formed the foundation of Dave Davidson's gradual mechanical evolution. The tactile quality of the transformation began in the makeup chair, with digital work used to complement, not replace, the practical effects.

My Good Eye Production Notes

Dave Davidson fully committed to every stage of the transformation, embracing increasingly elaborate prosthetic applications throughout the shoot. His performance sells the progression just as much as the makeup itself.

My Good Eye Production Notes

Revocation vocalist/guitarist Dave Davidson said the video once again paired the band with the MyGoodEye team, and that his mutant-cyborg transformation drew on classic cyberpunk imagery from Tetsuo and Akira.
