ARCHIVE HISTORY
Lorna Shore described the final Pain Remains chapter as the point where acceptance gives way to anger. The protagonist ultimately chooses to wake by setting the dream world ablaze, disappearing with it in a sea of fire.
Rod Whitfield ranked the complete Pain Remains trilogy No. 2 in his Top 5 Best Music Videos of 2022 for Wall of Sound. The recognition was specifically for the videos, separate from the album and song rankings on the same page.
Metal Hammer included “Pain Remains III: In A Sea Of Fire” in its unranked “The 10 best music videos of 2022” list.

“I really appreciate and admire their ambition with this”
VIEWER REACTION
“I love that in the 3 videos there is a different "element" around the band for each emotion in the series. 1: Rain (tears, loss), 2: Snow (cold, numb), 3: Fire (anger, fury).”
“Words fail me. This trilogy of songs was beautiful. I am in shock from the depth of emotion in this video. My eyes are brimming with tears, and my jaw is hanging open. Stellar work, gentlemen.”
“I love how the videos depict the stages of grief, so perfectly. Well done, Lorna, David and MyGoodEye.”
“Masterpiece is the only word that can be close to how beautiful this is”
