PRODUCTION NOTE
Paul Mazurkiewicz described the band’s decision to make miniature films without the musicians appearing, giving David the songs and lyrics to develop visually. Alex Webster added that COVID safety concerns contributed to the band staying out of “Inhumane Harvest,” with the musicians and filmmakers in different parts of the country. He recalled that the filmmakers had spoken with Rob Barrett about his lyrics before developing the narrative.
FROM THE BAND
“we felt that he’s a great storyteller for what we are trying to portray in our lyrics.”
FROM THE PRESS
The “Inhumane Harvest” video feels wwwwwaaayyyy more brutal.
The directing is strong, and it strikes a lovely mood of impending doom.
VIEWER REACTION
“I would say Inhumane Harvest and Neurogenic resurrection. Awesome gore and production and stuff”
“Inhumane Harvest, have you seen the video?”
“This video is genuinely hard to sit through; it’s insanely brutal. But I can’t help but find it a little funny because all the members of CC are such kind and wholesome guys, yet they created this; it’s amazing. Also, Violence Unimagined is a great album. “Follow the Blood” is my new fav CC song.”
“That was very disturbing even for a seasoned mortal kombat fan... I do commend the director for the BLOODY awesome special effects!!!”
